Job Description
The regional physical Logistics Innovation Specialist manages the warehouse optimization and digitalization as well as robotic and intelligent shop floor automation in our Bosch Building Technologies (BT) distribution center in Greer, SC.
The function monitors the market for technological warehousing automation solutions, identifies and calculates positive business use cases together with the local operations team and finally implements these ideas in agile projects.
Besides, the function is responsible to maintain our SAP Warehouse Management System (SAP EWM) and implement Bosch wide improvement projects resulting out of our global Bosch EWM community.
The role requires a strong focus on continuous improvement in warehouse management and technological background on physical shop floor automation. A close coordination with corporate functions, IT departments as well as the local warehouse operations team is required.
Your responsibilities:
- 25%: Identify and implement projects to fulfil the vision of a no touch warehousing environment
- 25%: Implement improvements in our SAP EWM system including and E2E visualization of shop floor operations
- 50%: Automate and maintain the operational day-to-day system control reports in our SAP EWM system
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s level degree in related field; M.A. or M.S. preferred
- 3-5 or more years prior operational logistics experience; especially with external suppliers
- Deep understanding of warehouse management systems (preferably SAP EWM)
- First experience in implementing technological solutions for automated warehousing
- Experience with DALI, SQL, Altryx, Automation Anywhere, Catalytic, Power BI, &/or Tableau is preferred.
- Strong communication and coordination skills; Knowledge in SAP Business Warehouse
- Must be able to travel 10% of time
Physical Demands:
- Normal office environment.
- Exposure to conferences and global Bosch meetings for warehouse automation
