About the role

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will report to Supervisor, GMP Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

Location: Malvern, PA 19355

Schedule: 2nd Shift M-F/2pm to 10:30pm

What we’re looking for 

·       Education: High School Diploma or GED required

·       Experience: 1+ years of applicable job experience, 1+ years of wash experience in a GMP environment, or janitorial services preferred.

       Collaboration Tool: Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel.

·       Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Conform to all customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, and security clearances.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills; display a professional can-do attitude.

  • Perform duties with the highest regard for safety and quality

  • Must be flexible, motivated, and have the ability to act independently.

  • Must exhibit core values and behaviors (Integrity, respect, collaboration, accountability, etc.)

  • Must have ability to understand, read, and write technical information.

How you will thrive and create an impact 

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:

  •  Perform multiple cleaning types per client SOP’s which vary in complexity. Maintain multiple janitorial closets in a GMP, 6S, in a state of inspection readiness at all times.

  • Complete daily logbooks, physical and electronic, of all sanitization activities ensuring all information is accurate; as well as utilize customer’s computerized maintenance management systems.

  • Accurately measure and mix cleaning compounds/chemicals, sanitates and solutions.

  • Operate floor scrubbers and other cleaning equipment.

  • Diagnose cleaning equipment maintenance needs and enter work orders into client computer-based systems.

  • Maintain all cleaning equipment per guidelines.

  • Maintain and adhere to strict training requirements.

  • Stock, sort, collect and transport gowns and supplies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
