JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The Interlibrary Loan team seeks a responsible and customer-service oriented individual to join our borrowing operations as a Delivery Services Specialist, to support our world campus and office delivery services. Interlibrary Loan is located in the Paterno Library, and the ILL office operating hours are from 8:00 to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Job responsibilities include:
- Verifying patron eligibility/status via the Penn State directory and user accounts
- Checking out requested items to patron accounts
- Preparing and processing requested materials for shipment
- Communicating with users about status of accounts/requests
Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:
- Familiarity with library systems, policies, and procedures
- Ability to complete tasks in an efficient manner
- Customer service experience is preferred
Schedule:
- 20-24 hours per week
- Afternoon availability is preferred
- 3-5 days a week
