Work Experience Description:

Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.

Job Summary

Assist in the writing and editing of online content and in the design, creation, modification, publishing, and monitoring of university websites. Analyze user needs to implement website content strategy. May convert written, graphic, audio, and video components to compatible web formats by using the Brightspot content management system.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Participate in and document department needs assessment interviews.
  • Use software to review the quality of websites.
  • Write and edit website messaging.
  • Produce and/or format website content.
  • Work with the project team to ensure product specifications address the department's business requirements.
  • Train others to be able to use Brightspot to manage websites.
  • Use other online applications to facilitate the publishing and distribution of university information and messaging.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
