UX Designer 2, Customer Experiences - (Hybrid - Seattle, WA)

Job Description

As a UX Designer 2 at Nordstrom, you will help shape digital retail experiences that solve customer problems with intuitive, beautiful, data-driven solutions. You will collaborate with UX designers, writers, researchers, product managers and other key stakeholders to design and test customer-focused solutions for web and app platforms while maintaining consistency of design patterns.  

 

A day in the life… 

• Work on mid to large scale projects with mentorship from more senior designers 

• Participate in the end-to-end product design process to deliver comprehensive solutions that effortlessly guide our customers across web, app, and omnichannel / store experiences 

• Use your deep understanding of user centered design to create game-changing features and innovative interactions that support Nordstrom’s outstanding customer service 

• Collaborate with UX designers, UX researchers, Content Designers, product managers, engineers, and develop positive relationships 

• Leverage our design language system and contribute new patterns as needed to make UI decisions 

• Work closely with engineering to develop, measure & iterate designs  

• Participate in peer design reviews and UX meetings to help strengthen our skills as a team 

 

You own this if you have… 

• 2-4 years of experience in UX/UI design  

• Bachelor’s degree in Entertainment, Technology or Animation

• A strong portfolio that demonstrates user-centered, data informed UX solutions 

• Exemplary work that highlights your approach to problem-solving, your design process and how you partner with others 

• Strong organization and time-management skills 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively 

• Experience with UX design frameworks and design theming (design language systems) 

• Fluency in core UX design tools for UI designs, interactions, flows and prototyping 

• Experience delivering assets to engineers 

• Experience working in retail and/or B2B products

Pay Range Details

Washington: $121,500-$188,500 annually
