Wardrobe Technician - Tournament of Kings - Excalibur

Excalibur is currently seeking a Wardrobe Technician to join the team and assist with all wardrobe and costume needs for the Tournament of Kings! THE JOB:

the Wardrobe Technician will assist with the Wardrobe department operations and maintain a safe work environment during performances and rehearsals of the Tournament of Kings production on property.

THE STARTING RATE: $37.39/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Assist with ongoing Wardrobe department operations; duties include sewing, fitting, alterations, painting, dying, wig styling and makeup.

• Maintain, fit, inspect, adjust, build, and repair all costume pieces and accessories for the show to preserve the long-term integrity of the costume design.

• Assist with quick changes and ensure all quick changes throughout the show run smoothly.

• Maintain a safe working environment at all times by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures, participating in all required safety classes and rescue procedure training.

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Prior experience in a comparable position.

• Proficiency in costume repairs.

• Skill in sewing and wardrobe/costume maintenance.

• Prior experience running quick changes and assisting with various costume related tasks in a fast-paced theater production environment.

• Previous engagement in a high-energy entertainment environment.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

• Flexibility to work various hours/shifts as needed per on call requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2 years of theatrical Wardrobe experience on a large-scale production.

• Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

TOURNAMENT OF KINGS DETAILS:

• Show days and times are typically: Thursday - Monday | 6:00 PM & 8:30 PM

• Dark days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays

• (Prior information subject to change as the dark days and performance times can be updated at any time. Shifts will be before and after these times to allow for opening and closing procedures as needed)
