What will you be doing?
The Product Management department is responsible for aligning the product portfolio with market demands. It plays a key role in coordinating between the distribution channel, support departments, production, and development. As a Product Specialist for Milking, you'll join an international team with a passion and focus on the Lely Astronaut automatic milking system, milk cooling, and cow monitoring portfolio.

You'll establish connections between the cow, the farmer, and the solution. Working in collaboration with the Product Manager, you'll achieve the commercial objectives of the product. In addition,
- Writing and maintaining product descriptions: Properly informing our customers is crucial. You'll combine information from various departments to create comprehensive product descriptions.
- Being involved in the validations of new products to ensure a smooth transition to the market (farmers).
- Supporting the international distribution channel: Our products are sold worldwide. You'll proactively support our country organizations with commercial activities and training.
- Developing and optimizing commercial materials: To assist our sales team, you'll be involved in the development of sales support applications. Maintaining good communication with our sales organization is essential to feed back local initiatives within the company.
- Together with our learning and development specialist, you'll create and deliver on- and offline training sessions to enhance knowledge about the product portfolio.
Qualifications
- You have a higher professional education (HBO) level, with a solid education, commercial insight, knowledge, and a passion for the international dairy farming industry. It would be preferable if you also have relevant experience in a similar role, with 1 to 2 years of work experience.
- A commercial mindset is one of your strengths, enabling you to navigate smoothly in an international environment. Your persuasive skills and adeptness at conveying messages in writing are highly valuable.
- You excel in communication, being able to articulate clearly and effectively. You possess the ability to see things from others' perspectives but are also not afraid to express disagreement when necessary. Fluency in English is a must, and knowledge of a second European language is preferable.
- Working with various IT-support tools like Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Tableau, Salesforce, and Showpad excites you, and you use their advantages to develop sales materials.
- As a self-reliant and results-oriented individual with a positive attitude, you can plan ahead and take feedback as a motivating factor for self-improvement. Your trustworthy, tolerant, and determined nature makes you well-suited for the role.
