Purpose
Career Success is launching an AI-powered initiative to streamline the delivery and scaling of career support resources for staff, employers, faculty, and students. We are seeking a graduate assistant with an interest in AI systems, generative AI agents, content management, and user experience to assist in building and maintaining AI agents and content. The use cases that we are developing will be built in (1) SharePoint with Copilot agents; and (2) UTSpark using an iterative testing process to learn how each performs vs. the other. Content management, tagging and permissions will need to be developed along with supporting tools and documentation. This role supports strategic data, content, and automation projects aimed at improving how career champions access and use information to empower student career development.
The position reports to the Associate Director of Career Excellence & Innovation and will work closely with colleagues across Career Success units and campus partners.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain a structured SharePoint site to house dynamic resources, templates, toolkits, and workflows for the Career Success team; develop content architecture using tagging and permissions
- Develop and test Copilot agents, using SharePoint, based on a prioritized set of use cases
- Replicate this environment, with iterative testing of AI Agents using UTSpark, and document differences including content and accuracy
- Leverage a human-centered design approach by organizing testing by end-users to make sure user needs are met; this might include speaking with staff and/or students
- Collaborate with team members to draft training guides, toolkits, and project documentation
- Support change management communications and training for end users (e.g., career coaches, student staff, campus stakeholders, students)
Required Qualifications
- Strong interest or experience in knowledge management systems (i.e., SharePoint, Notion, Confluence) and use of AI Agents (Copilot, UTSpark environment)
- Technological proficiency and comfort with building digital tools, resources, or dashboards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical thinking and ability to translate needs into structured systems or documentation
- Ability to research and summarize findings
- Demonstrated initiative, punctuality, and follow-through skills, as well as an ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SharePoint development, metadata tagging, and content organization strategies
- Experience building and testing AI agents with application in education or career services
- Familiarity with user-centered design
- Experience working with large teams or institutional departments on cross-functional initiatives
Salary Range
$20.00/hour
Working Conditions
