Job Responsibilities:
Prioritizes work based on customer needs in a team environment.
Promotes team atmosphere in the workplace.
High level of understanding of warehouse processes and transactions.
Cross-train in at least two major areas of warehouse (i.e., Shipping, Receiving, transactional processes, pre-count, waste management).
Identifies and acts upon health and safety issues in the Warehouse.
Identifies and recommends methods and procedures which will maintain or improve warehouse functions and customer service levels.
Assists Warehouse Team Leader with the following duties as needed:
Minor issues with delivery schedules.
Freight condition and damage issues.
Transactional and physical inventory integrity.
Project work as needed.
Prepares and maintains a variety of records and documents, as required.
Documents equipment maintenance, spare parts, and raw materials inventories.
Integrates Quality Systems into all function/activities.
Trained on movement of hazardous waste.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED, plus
Two (2) years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
Basic Qualifications:
Adequate math skills. Requires the demonstrated ability to interpret and comprehend specifications, procedures, and use measuring devices and tools.
Must be able to successfully pass training/licensing requirements of federal or local regulatory programs to the position, if required.
Must be able to develop skills at an acceptable rate. Possess mechanical ability and familiarity with hand tools and facility equipment.
Must be able to prepare and maintain appropriate documentation related to the Receipt, Transfer, and Shipment of products as required.
Must demonstrate the ability to solve problems, resolve conflicts, share information, and make decisions to achieve continuous improvement. A demonstrated high level of motivation, initiative, and pro-active problem solving is required to support overall team objectives.
Must be able to perform a variety of tasks, either indoors or outdoors, in varying weather conditions, if required.
PC skills to include familiarity with Microsoft Office, MS Outlook, MS Excel. Familiarity with MS Access a plus.
Must be able to successfully pass a Physical Capacities Test.
Must be able to demonstrate visual accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Data Collection scanning devices as it relates to Receiving, Shipping, Inventory tracking and maintenance.
MRP software as it relates to Receiving, Shipping, Inventory tracking and maintenance.
Forklift operator Certification highly desirable.
Must be able to successfully pass training/licensing requirements of Federal or local regulatory program, if required.
Training Requirements:
On-the-job, SOP’s required for position and GMP.
Physical Demands:
Employee may be required to sit, bend, stoop, use keyboard, see, talk, hear, and walk and stand on concrete surface for extended periods. May occasionally lift objects up to 75 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Work Environment:
Warehouse environment (hot in the summer and cold in the winter). Noisy environment due to material handling equipment, building machines, fans, etc. May require some exposure to chemicals used in manufacturing processes, requiring some precaution. Must be able to work around hazardous materials, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required.
