About the Role:  

The customer platform team is looking for a full-stack software engineer who will be responsible for building new systems and integrating third-party software platforms that will help our users get access to what they pay for more quickly. In this role, you will work with multiple internal teams to build customer facing features such as self-service account management as well as internally facing systems such as a centralized product catalog. Your work will be highly visible and will directly impact the ability of customers to get faster access to Planet’s unprecedented datasets as well as streamline the internal processes for getting new customers up and running on our platform. Although this is a full-stack role, the ideal candidate would favor front end development.

Impact You’ll Own:

• Streamline and automate user account creation
• Integrate business systems with custom internal applications
• Work with design to build customer facing and internal application UI
• Build new services and features to support Planet’s growing platform
• Help to define, create and analyze usage metrics to drive customer growth
• Participate in team on-call rotation to support production services

What You Bring:

• Expertise with React & Material UI
• Experience owning and transforming modern front end codebases
• Experience with Python/Flask or Go
• Familiarity with DevOps, K8s, Docker, GCP
• Proven cross-functional collaboration skills (Product & Design)
• Passion for improving developer velocity
• Experience maintaining and performance tuning production systems
• 6+ years industry experience

Compensation:

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is $124,000 - $203,000.  Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity). The final salary range is determined by job related experience, skills and location.  The range displays our typical hiring range for new hire salaries in US locations only.  Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
