Job Description
The ViQi Virtual Partner team is looking for a software engineering manager to lead the development of automated workflows leveraging chatbot technologies. Our area of work is to enable fast, accurate, and natural communication between human operators and their underlying information in real-time systems.
This position is fully remote, operating on Eastern Time and collaborating with engineers across different US and international time zones. Travel is required!
Responsibilities and Expectations
Lead and mentor software engineers.
Provide architectural oversight, design, and implement automated workflows using chatbot technologies.
Foster a high-performance culture, ensuring effective team collaboration.
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of software services.
Collaborate closely with product ownership, design, QA, cloud/dev ops.
Promote best practices in software architecture, coding standards, and quality assurance.
Communicate project status, risks, and achievements.
Requirement:
2+ years of engineering management experience with strong leadership and organizational skills.
5+ years of software engineering experience, working with C# and Python.
Expert knowledge of software design and best practices for full development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing methodology, security, and audit/monitoring requirements.
Expert knowledge of containerized infrastructure (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless infrastructure (e.g. AWS Lambda).
Familiarity with cloud-based providers and configuration: Azure, AWS, GC.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience leveraging chatbot technologies, e.g. AWS LexBot, GCP Dialogflow, Voiceflow, etc.
Familiarity with Machine Learning operations lifecycle.
Strong analytical skills capable of evaluating ideas, assessing risks, and controlling feature scope.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Note: Candidate must reside in the United States East Coast.

Basic Requirements
Bachelors degree with 5+ software engineering and cloud platform experience
AND 2+ years of technical lead or people management experience
