Responsibilities include:

Style patients in frames that meet their visual and lifestyle needs
Recommend products based on the patient’s lifestyle and visual needs
Educate patients on the latest lens technologies

Assisting with general front office operations: answering the phone, check-in, check-out, and pretesting patients
All things insurance: verifying eligibility, answers questions, authorizing benefits, and pricing orders
Floating offices include: Anderson, Muncie, Richmond, Elkhart, New Castle, Kokomo, Lafayette Road, and Pyramid Place

Requirements

This is a regional floating position, travel between 8 of Dr. Tavel locations is required, when needed
Ability to change your scheduled hours or location on short notice
Ability to work different shifts, between the hours of 7:30a – 7:30p, when needed
Reliable transportation is a must!
Previous experience as an Optician is required
A positive attitude and a willingness to strive for excellence
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Bilingual in Spanish is a big plus
