About the role

Job Description

In this role, you will partner with our North America commercial leader to develop HR strategies and lead teams to continue talent transformation aligned to our business objectives. This will include driving sales, service and delivery transformation - while maintaining a strong focus on enabling a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.  Additionally, you will lead a team of HR professionals who provide HR partnership and on-the-ground HR support to people leaders and employees for all functions across the region. You’ll provide strategic guidance and support to senior management, keeping a pulse on employee and market trends, ensuring compliance, and offering a consistent experience to all employees in the region.

Key Accountabilities 

Team Leadership. You will provide senior level oversight and coaching to the North America HR team, ensuring strategic alignment with business goals and overall HR strategy (e.g. Operating plan, 3-year plan, talent reviews, annual processes, employee relations). 

Developing and implementing HR strategy. You will partner with the North America leader to identify and address key HR issues and align HR initiatives with the organization's business strategy. You will also set the HR strategy for your region. You’ll assess industry and market trends and situations to develop and implement HR initiatives in line with the region's operational needs. You’ll also partner with functional BPs to implement strategic initiatives for respective BUs within their geography. 

Retaining talent. You will partner with your leader to review relevant data (flight risk assessment, market data and trends, attrition trends, etc.) and design an effective retention strategy, in collaboration with HR COEs. Additionally, you will develop and implement retention plans to reduce the impact of attrition and retain top talent.  

Talent management and development. You will partner with your leader on Talent Reviews, identifying high-potential employees, developing succession plans down to L2 and some L3s, and coaching senior leaders on career development. You’ll manage performance to ensure employees are meeting their goals and objectives and provide coaching to leaders to ensure effective leadership.  

Organizational transformation.  You will consult on business needs and collaborate with executive leaders and relevant stakeholders on transformation initiatives such as organization design, workforce planning, process changes and workflow changes. You’ll will identify key competencies and new role profiles. You will develop data-driven business cases for location strategy, compensation changes, talent planning, etc. You have a global perspective, and leverage Market HR leaders to ensure you understand local nuances. Yu will partner with executive leaders on strategic resourcing discussions and decision making, (e.g., reduction in force, hiring ahead of the curve, down banding, out of cycle compensation reviews etc.). Lastly, you will provide direct partnership to executive leaders and/or manage through your team to provide strategic oversight, with ultimate accountability for org effectiveness of all functions or market-facing teams you support. 

Employee relations, labor relations and performance management.  You will identify situations that require employee relations interventions e.g. performance improvement plans, investigations, etc. And execute such interventions for all functions across your region. And ensure appropriate resolution. You will lead your team in developing and implementing policies and procedures that reflect market conditions and company philosophy, ensuring that all policies and procedures are fair and equitable.  

Culture, values and diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) You will create and maintain a positive organizational culture across your region that is aligned with the organization's values and mission, which includes promoting DE&I, and leading the implementation of global initiatives in partnership with DTC or other global functions as appropriate (e.g. Workplace with Purpose, policy changes). You’ll lead your team to coach and guide managers and associates on all local processes such as performance management, total rewards, employee engagement, career conversations and conflict management. You will engage, build and retain talent within your markets, developing geographically relevant programs as appropriate to complement the global strategy.
