About the role

Fort HealthCare is a patient-centered hospital and healthcare system serving individuals, businesses and families in Jefferson, Dane, and Walworth Counties. We are seeking a Cook to join our Food Service team.

Shift:
Occasional Part Time

The cook prepares cooked and baked food items for patients, cafeteria, daycare and special functions.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Prepares cooked and baked food items for patients, cafeteria, daycare and special functions.
  • Plans ahead for timely preparation of food.
  • Practices proper food handling, food storage and labeling according to HACCP guidelines.
  • Prepares patient trays quickly and efficiently.
  • Performs routine cleaning of grill, range, counters, carts, slicer, sinks and other equipment used
  • Prepare food from scratch

Requirements for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous institutional cooking experience required.
