About the role
What you need to know:
In this role, the Sr. Business Analyst supports the AIG Travel business and the health of the global Travel payment landscape. This person will identify, assess, research, and resolve complex issues related to collection, settlement, and refunds of insurance ePayments, Merchant ID onboarding, epayment requirements, testing and operational processes. The person will also maintain a roadmap of system improvements, create process maps and processing flows while collaborating with key stakeholders throughout the business.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Responsible for the onboarding and support of Travel's ePayments portfolio supporting direct to consumer, partner and agency distribution channels globally.
- Responsible for updating strategic roadmap for Travel's global ePayments methods, compliance upgrades and platform updates.
- Responsible for the requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and communication of enhancements, compliance and regulatory changes to Travel IT leadership and development teams.
- Facilitate requirements gathering sessions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Create user stories.
- Write acceptance criteria in collaboration with the testing team.
- Review design and testing deliverables with IT and partners to ensure completeness of requirements.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Conduct training sessions with stakeholders and end users.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to ensure external needs are met.
- Work with business partners to onboard new MIDs.
- Work with legal on any contractual requirements.
- Keep up to date on payment industry trends.
- Upward management reporting of issues.
- Manage issue tracking and resolution.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years' progressive experience strongly preferred as a Sr Business Analyst within digital or electronic Payments-related area, banking, financial or Insurance industry preferred.
- 5+ years as a Business Analyst working in Agile Methodology.
- Experience with Sales Payments and third-party vendor processing systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other technical degree preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of business analysis techniques and requirements tools.
- Experienced in agile methodologies, user stories, and agile ceremonies.
- Ability to present information for decision making purposes with little direction.
- Be self-empowered and know when to escalate issues appropriately.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
- Experience working in a multinational company with on and offshore resources.
- Exceptional analytical, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills as well as relationship management skills.
- Ability to effectively collaborate and work with project team members and stakeholders located globally to ensure success of project.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet delivery deadlines.
- Keep up to date on current technology and payment industry best practices and regulatory trends.
- API experience.
