Our team leads enterprise risk management (ERM), physical security, crisis management, business continuity, occupational health and safety, retail asset protection, investigations, geostrategic intelligence, and legal operations, ensuring the company is prepared for our top risks and ready to respond and emerge stronger following potential disruptions. Levi Strauss & Co.™ delivers profits through principles to make an outsized impact on the world – we’re looking for an ascending leader who can have an outsized impact on the ongoing transformation of the company and Global Security & Resilience (GS&R) function. This person will be a proven star performer and force multiplier capable of becoming a chief security and resilience officer. We’re looking for an innovator, creator, and initiator, equally adept at the tactical and strategic areas of our work. This person will be versatile, collaborative, a generalist, systems thinker, and lifelong learner who can build and continuously improve scalable, measurable global programs while proactively adapting and evolving their professional capabilities to add value and meet the needs of the business.

  • Reporting to the Vice President, Global Security, Resilience & Legal Operations, sets the strategy for and leads the company’s global centers of excellence for physical security (office, supply chain), retail asset protection, and investigations (product diversion, workplace violence, cargo theft, retail loss), including developing policies, assurance programs, standards, and metrics that can be implemented and executed within a global framework, with local relevance.
  • Serves as a primary security and resilience advisor for cluster and country commercial leaders and business partners from enabling functions.
  • Serves as GS&R’s technology champion, leading the development and sustainment of security and resilience technology, including hardware and software, and identifying opportunities for physical security to support information security initiatives.
  • Sits on the GS&R leadership team and serves as a key thought partner to both the Vice President and Senior Director of GS&R.
  • Supports the Senior Director, Business Resilience & Safety, in developing and implementing enterprise risk management (ERM), crisis management, business continuity, geostrategic intelligence, and health and safety programs. May be required at times to direct ERM efforts (including the Enterprise Risk Committee, and country risk and third-party risk subcommittees), and crisis management, business continuity, and health and safety programs.
  • May be asked to advise the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors on the top strategic risks to the company.
  • Directs GS&R team members located in and outside the U.S., ensuring their efforts are consistent and aligned with global GS&R strategies and best practices identified by each center of excellence, while also supporting business partners in clusters for local and specialized geographic needs.
  • Supports Legal Operations programs, including financial management and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

About You 

  • Possess strong business acumen, with passion, experience, and expertise for operational excellence. You will emphasize optimizing our processes and resources for continuous improvement. You will enable us to do more, more efficiently and effectively.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience developing and leading some or all of the following programs on a global scale: physical security for offices and supply chain, including C-TPAT and in-transit cargo security; retail safety and asset protection; travel risk management; personnel protection; and business resilience (enterprise risk management, crisis management, and business continuity) programs.
