Description

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Hematologist/Oncologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health.

 

The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine to maintain its high healthcare delivery standards.

Opportunity Details:

  • We are looking for colleagues to join our dynamic group of six Hematologist/Oncologists.
  • Ample opportunities to develop own clinic and precept a fellow’s clinic.
  • Availability of various leadership positions from day one, opportunities to collaborate in clinical research and QI projects.
  • Academic appointment at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
  • The call schedule is 1 in 6 weeks at-home. Fellows are first call.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Fellowship Training Program in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Current licensed NY State registration (or the ability to obtain).

 

 

 

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $330,000*(board eligible) and $335,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $458,520** (board eligible) and $464,020** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
    • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
    • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
  • Medical, Prescription, and Dental Coverage: Top-tier plans with employee contributions significantly below market rates.
