Summary:

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (RPCCC) is seeking a highly motivated Clinical-Research Physician to join our Breast Medicine team. This dual-role position offers the opportunity to combine clinical expertise with cutting-edge translational research in a collaborative environment focused on advancing cancer care and research.

Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Activities:
- Provide patient-centered care while contributing to clinical excellence within the institution.

Research Activities:
- Conduct translational research and participate in clinical trials.
- Pursue grant opportunities to support academic interests.
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals.
- Foster collaborations to enhance the volume and scientific quality of translational research.

Scholarly Activities:
- Engage in teaching and mentorship for medical students, residents, fellows, and advanced practice providers (APPs).
- Maintain compliance with all medical staff bylaws.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Promote productive interactions between clinical and laboratory research teams.
- Serve on departmental and institutional committees.
- Actively participate in Translational Research Groups (TRG) and inter-programmatic collaborations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with scientists and clinicians at RPCI and other institutions with a focus on cancer research.

The salary range for this position is $220,000 - $529,000 which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The listed pay range reflects the range of potential compensation for this role. The actual offer may vary based on qualifications, skills, and experience.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

License or Certification Requirement
1. License to practice as a Medical Doctor in the State of New York.
2. Possession of or eligibility for a valid medical specialty certificate in Medical Oncology or a specialty of Hematologic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Solid Tumor/Investigational Therapeutics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.
Education and Experience
Medical Doctor degree and prior full-time experience in the field of Medical Oncology or a specialty of Hematologic Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Solid Tumor/Investigational Therapeutics, Pulmonary Medicine, and Infectious Diseases.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess proven expertise in clinical care and translational research, with a demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively across interdisciplinary teams. A strong commitment to education, mentorship, and advancing the academic mission, coupled with a robust record of scholarly publications and success in securing grant-funded research, is highly desirable.
