The Team:
- The newly commissioned Operating Theatre complex consists of two Endoscopy, two General Theatres, Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and a Day Surgery Unit (DSU).
- Currently functioning in two theatres each day, with an uplift to increase to three theatres in the coming months.
- The regional theatres for the Northwest, providing surgical services for minor general, gynaecology, endoscopy, orthopaedics, urology and dental procedures for the North and Northwest.
The Role:
Our Registered Nurses strengthen health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.
We are seeking Nurses who not only are clinically sound but also value the human interactions that build the core meaning of what it is to care for people. The ideal applicant will be professional, dedicated, compassionate, and empathic applicants who will take time in their day to connect with patients while they are at their most vulnerable. This will ensure that every patient journey reflects safety, respect and professionalism.

Details of Appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from as soon as possible until 9 June 2025.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Classification:
Salary $78,179 - $105,995 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
- Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023

Eligibility
Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
Under particular circumstances employees may be required to undertake a new conviction check.
