Wage Rage: $120,000-$150,000, depending on experience
Location: Minnesota - Remote, will travel to locations

Position Summary

The Sr Director of Joyful Living & Community Well-Being leads the development and execution of initiatives that foster joyful living and enhance the overall well-being of seniors. The Sr Director of Joyful Living & Community Well-Being coordinates large scale/complex projects within Lifespark Senior Living and works to harmonize those efforts with other leading organizational priorities. 

Position Functions and Responsibilities

Drive the full implementation of the Spark model in the organization and explore opportunities for introducing Spark to new markets.

  • Design, implement, and oversee innovative programs and experiences that align with the organizations Spark model for well-being.
  • Create a vibrant, inclusive community atmosphere by fostering meaningful relationships among seniors, staff, and families through intergenerational and diverse engagement activities.
  • Champion a person-centered, joy driven culture, ensuring that senior’s voices, preferences, and well-being remain at the heart of the community.
  • Lead initiatives that empower seniors to take an active role in their own well-being, promoting independence, self-expression and community contribution.
  • Develop a strong, organization-wide leadership corps that can deliver the Spark model across all locations and types of settings.
  • Partner with leadership to assess and modify policies, procedures, and practices to promote an inclusive culture.
  • Collaborate with Seniors and Staff to ensure programs are meaningful, impactful, and aligned with cultural and individual preferences.
  • Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience.
  • Lead and develop best in class engagement for residents living with dementia or other cognitive concerns.
  • Collaborate with LSL leaders to respond to and resolve issues that may impede the effective application of the Spark model and its entry into new markets.
  • Collaborate with other Senior Living Lifespark leaders to foster a culture of resident centered care and decision making.
  • Participate in public speaking as requested to share our learnings with Spark Performance.
  • Oversee other enterprise project duties as assigned.
  • Support Lifespark’s quest to help elders age magnificently.

Qualifications

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Leadership, Recreation or related field; and/or qualified by specific educational training in the field or a combination of education and related experience is acceptable.
  • 2+ years’ experience leading or working with the implementation of Spark model initiatives.
  • 7-10 years of experience in senior living-, long term care, or a related industry with a strong focus on culture change and senior programming
  • Knowledge of person-centered care practices, methods and implementation strategies. Like the Eden Alternative
  • Knowledge of Traction/EOS strategy tools.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience effectively balancing multiple-high needs tasks and delivering timely results
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Resourceful self-starter with demonstrated ability to exec
