The Technology Services Department (TS) of the City and County of Denver use state-of-the-art technologies and methodologies to deliver and improve the systems, applications, and operations to our customers. What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $100,000.00/year, based on education and experience. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which includes but is not limited to:

Location

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

What You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced Human Services Mid-Level Developer to identify, develop, enhance and implement technology that augments the Statewide Child Welfare Information System – TRAILS. In this role, you will be supporting the Child Welfare Division at Denver Human Services.

Responsibilities

Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Planning - Independently analyze business needs/operations and determines technology needs for moderately complex projects.  Breaks down stories into deliverable tasks with level of effort estimates.  Confirms plans and estimates with Analyst and Manager.
• Life Cycle Management - Designs, develops, tests, deploys and documents new and existing systems.
• Development – For low and moderately complex tasks, independently writes or modifies software programs including analysis, writing specifications and code, program installation and documentation. Performs functions with support for higher complexity projects.
• Rapid Application Development – Leverage tools to generate code that creates a collaborative and effective working relationships with team members and customers.

What You’ll Bring

We are looking for someone with some or all the following skills and experience:

• C# language
• Experience with Visual Studio
• Experience with Azure DevOps
• Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases
• Experience with the Agile development process

Minimum Qualifications

• Education Requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field.
• Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of professional level experience developing, modifying, and implementing operating systems, business applications, enterprise architecture design, and maintaining databases and servers.
• Education and Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.
• Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.
• License/Certifications: Must obtain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) clearance within the probationary period.
