JOB SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Supervisor shall oversee all personnel at the Warner facility. Will work and communicate daily with Press, Production, Quality, Inspection, Metallurgist, Shipping and QCS. This position will support the entire product at the designated manufacturing location. This role will support the Company’s goal and vision to ensure safety, operating efficiency and quality at the highest level. Supervisor will be responsible for procedural and policy administration to include ERP system, time and attendance, employee reviews, and aid in employee performance improvement plans.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Instructs and directs work activities of employees in assigned work areas
• Takes strong ownership of work in progress and communicates with co-workers, leads, and management
• Works with other management and directs activities of all production personnel
• Instrumental in conducting and administering employee training programs
• Assist, as needed, by providing administrative support performing tasks related to Internal Specification Reviews, Corrective Actions, Quality Planning, etc.
• Maintain a working knowledge of company policies and procedures
• Plan and implement technical meetings to drive improvement initiatives to support the Key Results
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record
• Comply with all APP safety rules, company policies, and code of conduct
• Lead/facilitate in corrective action activities
• Assist in customer, internal, NADCAP, and AS 9100 audits as required
• Demonstrates a firm commitment to achieving APP’s Key Results
• Observe/analyze any equipment or facility defect(s) daily and report to appropriate entity, prioritize actions as needed.
• Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported per APP’s safety policy.
• Must take accountability for APP’s safety initiatives
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Take ownership of departmental KPI’s and Cultural Beliefs
• Collaborate with departmental leads to establish job priorities
• Responsible for new tool assessment and ergonomic improvements to establish lean production
• Reviews and approves vacation request forms
• Manages attendance and job costing entry information
• Utilizes IFS reports to check job card information accuracy
• Responsible for the procurement of working materials and tools
• Recommend improvements in the utilization of employees, equipment and floor space
• Participate in LEAN manufacturing
• Organize and assign tasks to workers throughout the day ensuring production schedule is followed.
• Ensure operating efficiencies are met and production remains on schedule.
• Assure quality and production requirement are met, as per job-specific travelers.
• Analyze work orders and other specifications.
• Coordinate projects between management and workers.
• Perform any other duties not mentioned above when instructed to do so by the department manager.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manufacturing Supervisor instructs and oversees their assigned Departments
• Will instruct, train, and motivate employees on all work to be performed in accordance with Company standards.
• Communicate Company policy and safety rules.
• Write performance evaluations
