Nursing Director – Inpatient Medicine (Jenks 5 at NEBH)The Nursing Director will provide strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for two newly established 25-bed Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) inpatient medicine units (50 total beds) located on Jenks 5 at the New England Baptist Hospital (NEBH) campus, approximately 0.9 miles from the BIDMC main campus. These units are scheduled to open in early January 2027.

What You'll Do
- Lead and foster a culture of clinical excellence, patient-centered care, safety, and teamwork.
- Inspire and support nursing staff by promoting professional growth, clinical development, and evidence-based practice.
- Partner with physicians, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams to advance patient care goals and organizational priorities.
- Drive innovation and lead change initiatives that improve quality, patient outcomes, and operational performance.
- Build and develop high-performing teams through recruitment, coaching, performance management, and succession planning.
- Guide managers and directors in strengthening operations, improving workflows, and achieving departmental goals.
- Oversee staffing strategy and resource allocation to ensure exceptional patient care and a positive work environment.
- Manage departmental budgeting and financial performance while balancing quality, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
Leadership Scope
- Directly leads a team of leaders and clinical professionals.
- Oversees more than 7 direct reports and supports 21–50 indirect reports.
- Serves as a key operational and strategic partner within the organization, influencing decisions that impact patients, staff, and clinical outcomes.
This role is ideal for a collaborative and visionary healthcare leader who is passionate about developing people, advancing nursing practice, and driving meaningful change within a complex healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Finance or Hospital Administration preferred.
License Registered Nurse required., and Certificate 1 Basic Life Support required.
3-5 years related work experience required and 0-1 years supervisory/management experience required
Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Additional Requirements
- Ability to provide care across the lifespan, including neonatal, young adult, adult, and geriatric populations.
