How you’ll contribute
A respiratory therapist (CRT) who excels in this role:
- Measures lung capacity and analyzes blood samples using a blood gas analyzer. Performs bedside PFTs, EKGs, and tobacco cessation education as ordered.
- Delivers and evaluates patient response to therapy per plan of care. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition appropriately.
- Responds to codes and emergent calls for respiratory assistance. Provides rapid assessment and appropriate intervention.
- Educates patients and families about illness management and community resources.
- Evaluates respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes, research, and best practices.
- Stocks and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders; maintains storage areas with required levels and equipment.
- Cleans, sterilizes, maintains, and calibrates equipment.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts/units as needed.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

What we’re looking for
Applicants should have a current associate’s degree in respiratory required. Additional requirements include:
- License: /Certifications: Current CRT or RRT license in state of practice; BCLS required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred.
