The ER Registrar is responsible for registering patients for ER (Emergency Services) by obtaining all necessary information pertaining to demographics and claim preparation ensuring accuracy and timeliness and Cobra/EMTALA compliance. The ER Registrar will assist in other registration areas in time of need. The registrar is responsible for providing notification to the Insurance companies of treatment/admission when applicable, performing registration quality assurance checks, exercising good judgment in making decisions concerning accounts in order to secure payment arrangements and conducts patient interviews to obtain registration information, complete required forms and obtains signatures
