Pay Range: $20- $21./hr

Position Summary

The Driver / Activity Assistant supports both transportation and resident engagement.

This role is responsible for safely transporting residents to outings and appointments while also assisting with planning, organizing, and leading activities that enhance residents’ independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

Transportation
• Safely operate community vehicles for outings, excursions, and appointments
• Assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles safely
• Follow all state and federal driving laws
• Perform vehicle safety checks and maintain cleanliness
• Ensure safe, timely, and comfortable transportation

Activities & Engagement
• Assist the Activity Director in planning and facilitating daily activities and events
• Help create an engaging and social environment for residents
• Support outings, exercise classes, games, arts, and special events
• Encourage participation and build relationships with residents
• Assist with event setup and breakdown
• Support volunteer coordination as needed

General Responsibilities
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, staff, and guests
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, and team members
• Promote teamwork across all departments

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
Valid CDL Class B Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement REQUIRED
• Previous experience driving or working with seniors preferred
• Experience with activities or resident engagement is a plus
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.) preferred
• Must pass background check and health screenings (including TB test)
