The Team:
As a Food Services Officer working in the RHH Cafeteria, you’ll be part of a dedicated team that plays a vital role in providing visitors and staff with nutritious meals and great service. The team works collaboratively to ensure the safe preparation, handling, of food combined with great service. With a strong focus on hygiene, efficiency, and teamwork.
The Role
In accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines, assist with food preparation, production, plating service, ware-washing, and cleaning duties in the provision of catering services to patients, visitors, and staff of the hospital.
The Food service officer is responsible for:
- Performing tasks safely, efficiently, and effectively and in accordance with training and direction.
- Check patient identification is correct prior to delivering/distributing meals and observe all dietary restrictions allocated to patients.
- Providing meal services to patients, visitors, and staff in a polite and courteous manner.
- Cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines.
- Exercising reasonable care in the performance of duties consistent with the relevant Work Health and Safety legislation.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, shift worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
