The Sr. Security Engineer - Identity Access Management (IAM) will be part of the Security Engineering - Identity and Access Management (IAM) team and will provide engineering & advanced operations support for Identity and Access (IAM) management activities related to system software, cloud solutions, performance, problem determination or resource management requiring communication and coordination with vendors, technicians, clients, and management. You will support Alkami’s IAM strategies, as well as create and manage long-term goals, including developing objectives, Identity management hardening, and strategy. You will also be responsible for contributing to the IAM program, managing backlog, grooming user stories and coordinating with development, testing, IT/IS, and SRE organizations ensuring successful, bug-free, on-time implementations.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Work with IAM program Team Lead on activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization

• Build and maintain the AWS IAM strategy to support our the enterprise growth as our SaaS product continues to scale

• Effectively deliver Identity and Access Management (IAM) services, including Authoritative Source, Identity Management, Provisioning/Deprovisioning through User Lifecycle, Authentication, Authorization, Monitoring, Certifications, Auditing, and Reporting

• Manage implementation of new IAM tools

• Communicate progress through regular governance and status updates, and advise leaders on key issues/constraints

• Continual identification, qualification, and tracking of risks, define mitigation and contingency plans, and constantly communicate status

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Four or more years of relevant work experience

• Passionate about internet security issues and the threat landscape for popular software & services

• Experience with AWS IAM or similar enterprise cloud computing platforms

• Strong abilities with designing and implementing complex IAM policies in a multi-account environment

• Knowledge or familiarity with Authentication and Authorization concepts, such as: Identity Federation, Multi-Factor Authentication, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), RADIUS/TACACS, SAML, OAUTH2, OpenID based on Azure AD/AWS and ADFS

• Experience in Active Directory and Azure AD Administration

• Understanding of RBAC methodologies

• Experience in managing and maintaining Identity Management, Federation, and Synchronization solutions

• Experience in gathering requirements, documenting, and assessing information for implementing information security policies and standards

Desired Skills:

• A broad knowledge of information security principles (e.g. access control, least privilege)

• Familiarity with Cloud Orchestration with Terraform

• Hands-on experience with SailPoint, Savynt, Okta, Omada, Oracle IM, or other product
