The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for data and financial analysis to support the Sourcing (Procurement) and Business Transformation teams within Pharmavite, reporting to the Manager of Supply Chain Finance. 

Key Responsibilities 

Critical contributions this role is counted on to deliver include: 

  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to support the Sourcing team (and potentially other functions within Supply Chain), through BI tools such as Power BI 

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large-scale financial data to support analysis of Purchase Price and outsourcing variances 

  • Detailed support work during month-end close, including journal entry preparation, preparation of supporting tables and reports, and other closing tasks 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities for data support and to improve existing processes 

  • Will support the Manager will other tasks as assigned 

 

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a passionate business analytics professional with strong intellectual curiosity. You are willing and able to dive into detail and construct complex models as needed, but then are also able to succinctly communicate the insights gained from these models 

Critical Success Factors 

You’ll be most successful in this role if you have:  

  • Strong acumen in data science and BI tools (e.g. Power BI or equivalent) 

  • Financial understanding and ability to work with and construct large, complex models in Excel 

  • Can communicate effectively with both Supply-chain and Finance professionals 

  • Willingness to suggest new technology and analytical approaches 

Capabilities & Skills Required 

In order to take on these challenges, you’ll need to have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, MIS, or related field with courses taken in Finance and Accounting. 

  • 2+ years' experience in a data science, analytics, or related role supporting Finance. 

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Knowledge of financial concepts. 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
