As a Resource Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to provide care to patients throughout our facility. Banner Desert Medical Center is a level 1 trauma designated facility. Our resource nurses are competent within at least two service lines, are highly skilled, have the ability to be flexible and are open to the many education and growth opportunities provided. 

 

The Pediatric SWAT RN is highly specialized and will provide support to PICU, General Pediatrics Banner Children's tower and ancillary areas during critical patient situations. This nurse responds to all Higher Levels of Care, Rapid Responses, Code Blue, Stroke Alerts, Sepsis, US IV insertion to include long-dwells and post-cardiac Hypothermia. They also serve as expert resources for nursing staff with regards to IV starts (especially those requiring ultrasound) and special procedures or when a unit simply needs temporary support due to high acuity. Minimum two years core RN experience in PICU. RN must have experience with floating to CV, Neuro and Med/Surge ICU's, as well as caring for patients with multisystem failure. Must be self- motivated and self -directed, able to set priorities and collaborate with all health care customers. Should be able to problem solve in critical situations and possess excellent communication skills.

 

Full Time Night Shift 36 hour/week

You will also have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction.
