Position Summary

Empower your career and become a future leader in the biopharmaceutical industry by joining Bristol Myers Squibb’s Global Procurement team through our dynamic Leadership Development Program (LDP). This three-year, full-time rotational experience is designed to cultivate the next generation of procurement leaders and is perfect for graduates passionate about Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related fields.

The BMS Procurement Leadership Development Program provides a transformative opportunity to build your skills, expand your network, and accelerate your growth into a future procurement leader. You’ll contribute directly to the supply chain that delivers innovative medicines to patients worldwide and gain critical knowledge of the biopharma industry—all while collaborating with high-caliber professionals across BMS.

You will rotate across critical procurement functions—such as Agile Sourcing, Procurement Excellence and Business Partnering & Strategy working on projects that support our mission to discover, develop, and deliver innovative medicines. Throughout the program, you’ll participate in an in-depth orientation covering BMS’s structure, products, brands, and procurement’s key role in supporting enterprise objectives. Successful completion of the program positions individuals for possible career growth and expanded leadership opportunities within the organization.

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $68,000 to $80,000 incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate considers characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Finally, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience. All rotations are based in Central New Jersey (Princeton, NJ and/or New Brunswick, NJ).

Key Responsibilities May Include:

  • Conducting market research to identify industry dynamics, supplier capabilities, and emerging trends

  • Executing category strategy activities under the guidance of operations and strategic category leaders

  • Performing scenario planning and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to support data-driven sourcing decisions

  • Applying data analytics and visualization skills to generate actionable procurement insights

  • Recommending and helping implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and cost optimization

  • Diving into supplier risk identification, assessment, and mitigation to ensure supply continuity and quality

  • Managing day-to-day supply issues, communicating proactively with internal customers and suppliers

  • Communicating issues, risks, and broad
