Job Description
We are currently hiring a Manager, Accounting to help grow our company and ensure our mission is achieved!
This role is a hybrid role reporting to our Draper, UT location when required.

YOU ARE: As a successful candidate for this role, you will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience leading and managing various accounting functions, exceptional interpersonal & communications skills, and a strong sense of ownership and pride over your area of responsibility.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
Assign projects and direct staff to ensure accuracy
Facilitate month-end close procedures; review general ledger accounts and journal entries for accuracy and appropriateness
Perform account analysis, explain variances and review reconciliations
Challenge and streamline accounting processes for accuracy and efficiency wherever possible
Identify problems, conduct research and propose solutions
Participate in periodic audits, including both preparing and reviewing documentation
Collaborate cross-departmentally on various projects and processes
Conduct meetings with other teams and management to present findings and analyses
Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company’s policy
Serve as the accounting business expert in the implementation of change to business systems that impact accounting and financial processes
Maintain documentation that provides support for business processes and reasons behind key decisions
Communicate with and assist other technical and administrative team members with tasks resulting in successful execution of projects
YOU'LL BRING:
5 years’ experience in a relevant accounting role (industry and/or public)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Master’s degree and CPA preferred
GAAP expertise and prior demonstrated ability to conduct research when required
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work with and manage others in a fast-paced environment
Strong work ethic, schedule flexibility and availability, and adaptability
Ability to efficiently manage several tasks and competing priorities
A solid relationship builder, attention to detail, and ability to follow processes
Aptitude for understand data flows and related accounting/financial statement implications
Ability to identify issues, conduct research, analyze data and propose solutions
Tech savvy with strong problem-solving analytics and cross-functional collaborative skills
Advanced computer skills, including MS Office, accounting software and databases
