Job Description

Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an experienced digital leader with a strong program management background to join our Enterprise Capabilities Digital team.

As the Digital Program Management Implementation Lead, you will serve as the primary technical authority for delivering major program management projects across Enterprise Capabilities (EC) Digital. This includes Enterprise Critical Pursuits and Tier 2 projects.

Your role will focus on defining and implementing standardized digital delivery strategies, processes, and technologies to ensure consistent, high-quality execution of our largest and most complex projects. You will collaborate closely with other Global Business Line digital implementation leads as part of the Delivery Planning and Assurance (DPA) team.

This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule including both in-office and remote work options and will be based in Bucharest, Romania.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the Program management approach for project delivery using AECOM standardized program management tools.
  • Establish and enforce project data standards across all program management projects.
  • Develop and communicate digital production processes for project delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with Planning to identify resources and develop project schedules.
  • Partner with Assurance to monitor project performance and ensure compliance with quality metrics.
  • Drive adoption of standardized project execution practices across EC Digital and the wider organization.
  • Work with other digital implementation leads and the DPA team to continuously improve delivery methodologies for major projects.

What We Are Looking For

We seek a proven leader with deep expertise in delivering large, complex program management projects and a strong understanding of digital technologies, standards, and processes. You must be able to influence at all levels—guiding project teams to adopt standardized approaches while engaging senior leadership to drive strategic alignment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a architecture, Engineering or Construction Management (Civil, Structural, Mechanical) or similar relevant field and ten (10) years’ experience working in the delivery of large, complex projects
  • Five (5)+ years working in a digital leadership role in a large engineering organization
  • Expertise in industry-standard platforms such as: (InEight, Unifier, P6, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong knowledge of program management delivery technologies for engineering design and/or construction.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence within a large organization.
  • Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business priorities.
  • Project management expertise with a focus on integrating digital into planning, delivery, or operations.
  • Experience supporting proposals and bids to articulate digital capabilities.
  • Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change.
  • Programming skills for data management (traditional or low code).
  • Knowledge of regional market dynamics, client expectations, and regulatory frameworks.
