Cognite’s Cognite Data Fusion makes the operational data available at scale and adds value to the data through data processing. This enables asset-intensive industries to make data-driven decisions. Our platform is built on various technologies, each good at solving various challenges.</span><br/><span>We believe in autonomous teams with developers, product managers and technical program managers working closely together. You'll work with skilled engineers on the platform powering Cognite’s Industrial Knowledge Graph and long term storage services, using the latest technologies and iterating quickly with developers and end users for better product experiences.</span><br/><span>As the first line of defense for securing privileged customer data, our work is crucial for customer and company success. Operating at the intersection of security, infrastructure, and feature development, our developers tackle creative technical challenges daily and engage with Cognite's most impactful business problems.</span> <h3>What you'll do</h3> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain cutting edge features for Cognite Data Fusion (CDF)</li><li>Scale CDF, make architectural trade-offs, applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns</li><li>Produce high-quality and secure software that is comprehensively tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration</li><li>Shape our product’s direction by working closely with teams across engineering, product, and customer success</li><li>Continuously monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and security of our services</li><li>Proactively fix vulnerabilities, streamline code, and reduce technical debt</li><li>Keep our documentation clear, current and genuinely helpful</li></ul> <h3>What we’re looking for</h3> <ul> <li>6+ years of hands-on experience developing software with modern programming languages (e.g., Kotlin, Java)</li><li>Experience in a SaaS product environment preferably with large-scale cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes</li><li>Experience in designing, building and maintaining infrastructure and web-services at large scale</li><li>Expert knowledge of computer science with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design</li><li>Good understanding of information retrieval technology, such as Elasticsearch</li><li>Experience leveraging AI-powered tools to augment the development process and accelerate value delivery</li><li>Strong problem-solving skills, technical troubleshooting and diagnosing complex system issues to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime</li><li>A collaborative and pragmatic mindset, with good communication skills and a desire to mentor others</li></ul> <h3>Bonus points</h3> <ul> <li>Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing the Elastic Stack on Kubernetes.</li><li>Search, analytics, Lucene</li></ul><span>Don't meet every single requirement?
