About the role

Control Risks’ Embedded Consulting team is looking for a Business Continuity Manager to help support a Fortune 100 client's corporate business continuity program focused on the Americas region.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with an internal client business unit to develop and implement a world-class business continuity program.
  • Facilitating business continuity exercises and tests, to identify potential gaps in plans, as well as functionality of work transference processes supporting recovery.
  • Develop and maintain BC risk register to ensure leadership is managing risks as discovered.
  • Partner with the client’s corporate business continuity team to train the operations team on BC requirements, manage entries in the BC tool.
  • Partner with appropriate technology teams to ensure resilience capabilities that meet the operation center’s needs.
  • Engage with stakeholders, including senior leadership, to provide education on the operation center’s resilience capabilities and limitations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field.
  • 8+ years' experience implementing and managing business continuity or risk management programs.
  • Ability to travel across assigned region and internationally as needed.

Preferred qualifications

  • 12+ years' experience implementing and managing business continuity or risk management programs.
  • Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII), Business Continuity Institute (BCI), or other business continuity professional certification
  • Experience in leading and managing virtual project and program teams.
  • Experience in managing the response to significant disruptive events.
  • Proven track record of sound decision making, taking ownership, and delivering results in a leadership role.
  • Track record of having earned the trust of leadership by challenging norms, upgrading team performance, enabling growth, and improving efficiency.
  • Ability to dive deep into data, existing processes, people, and technology challenges in order to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the written and oral communication skills necessary to build relationships and positively influence decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple complex projects.
  • Experience with offshore operations and services, particularly in India and Latin America

The base salary range for this position in California is $120,000-$150,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per California SB 1162.
