Staff IT Auditor, Data Analytics & Automation

What does a great Staff IT Auditor, Data Analytics & Automation do?

You will play a key role in supporting Internal Audit to achieve its objectives by applying a systematic and disciplined approach to assess and enhance the effectiveness of Fiserv’s governance, risk management, and internal control environment. This involves providing data and automation support to conduct independent evaluations of Fiserv's finance, operations, compliance, and technology functions. You will oversee the successful execution of the automation roadmap for audit, focusing on enhancing efficiency through Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Utilizing tools such as Alteryx and Power BI, you will promote continuous auditing and explore the application of emerging technologies like Machine Learning to enhance agility within the audit function.

What you will do:

  • Help to lead the automation roadmap for audit, which includes leveraging tools like Alteryx and Power BI to enable continuous auditing and enhancing the usage of emerging tools like Machine Learning to bring agility to the audit function
  • Partner with audit teams to identify test plans, and execute those test plans requiring analytic and/or data analysis
  • Develop, implement, and the ongoing development of a data warehouse and automated processes to achieve continuous monitoring of specified audit areas
  • Identify risk and achieve management objectives across a variety of processes/functions
  • Nurture and maintain key business relationships
  • Proactively identify themes, trends, and emerging risks for the company
  • Identify and implement emerging analytic technologies

What you will need to have:

  • 0 -3 years’ leveraging analytic tools, including visualization and data analysis software to perform data analysis. Experience utilizing Power BI, Alteryx, and SQL Server
  • Proficiency in analytical tools, specifically Alteryx Designer, Alteryx Server, Power BI, SQL, and/or RPA (e.g., UiPath/Blue Prism), SAS Software, Tableau, or other data analysis tools
  • Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: Info Security/Cyber Security protocols and controls, Accounting and Finance Principles, Internal Controls, Risk Management or Regulatory Compliance regulations, standards, or frameworks such as FASB, COSO, FFIEC, NIST or PCI
  • Bachelor's degree, with emphasis in data science, information systems, or equivalent degree or experience in these fields or combination of education, career and military experience

What would be great to have:

  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with large amounts of data
  • Strong communication skills (written, oral, and listening) with a proven ability to build rapport and interact with cross-functional teams
  • Certifications for Alteryx, Power BI, and/or SQL Server
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, CFE or other applicable professional certifications or candidates for certification
  • Experience in analysis, data analysis, data visualization, mathematics, statistical data mining, and/or data science

  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time and work weekends/evenings, as necessary.
