Opportunity to work as part of a dynamic veterinary hospital team with 30 minute consultations and no after hours!
Base Salary HEO 7 (38 hours) $113,604. - $123,767 + 17% superannuation

As part of the School of Veterinary Science which is ranked #1 in the Southern Hemisphere, the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Camden (UVTHC) provides a clinical learning experience for veterinary students with staff engaged in professional training programs through provision of veterinary services to the public.
UVTHC is a combined large animal and primary care small animal hospital with access to a range of specialist services, expertise, and equipment to offer excellent care to our patients. We benefit from a loyal clientele who always want the very best for their pets.
The Clinical Veterinary Registrar - Small Animals position operates within the veterinary teaching hospital in Camden. The role encompasses first opinion primary care clinical service and clinical training of Day One skills to final year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students at UVTHC.

In this position, you will:
provide first opinion in primary care (small animal) services in medicine and surgery
no after hours – enjoy a great work – life balance
provide ‘hands-on’ clinical training to final year veterinary students to develop ‘Day One’ skills including and first opinion consults and treatments
support DVM students and nursing staff in decision making, and case management
informal and formal presentations of small animal related topics at the hospital
participate actively in development of wide range of skills and dissemination of knowledge through attendance at journal club and hospital rounds.

About you

a degree in veterinary science registrable in NSW (or equivalent)
a combination of training and experience in Primary Care of Small Animals
have membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists or equivalent in a relevant discipline or a Graduate Certificate in a relevant discipline and/or hav
