Overview
The Vice President of HR Operations is a hands-on leader responsible for building scalable, compliant, and data-driven HR infrastructure to support rapid growth, operational rigor, and value creation across the organization. The VP will partner closely with business stakeholders and HR leadership to professionalize HR operations and enable the business strategy.
Responsibilities
Global HR Operations & Shared Services
- Build and scale global HR operations and shared services models aligned with a PE-backed growth strategy.
- Establish standardized global processes, controls, and governance while accommodating local requirements.
- Define and track KPIs, SLAs, and operating metrics tied to efficiency, quality, and cost management.
- Drive operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement.
HRIS & HR Technology Enablement
- Partner with Finance and IT to enable scalable, auditable systems.
- Own the global HR technology strategy, roadmap, and vendor ecosystem, including all HR-specific contracts and spend (i.e. benefits platform, third party consultants, Culture Amp, etc.).
- Lead HR system implementations, integrations, and data harmonization across geographies and acquisitions.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and privacy to support reporting and analytics.
Workforce Management & Analytics
- Establish global workforce planning capability, headcount governance, and labor cost management.
- Build workforce analytics and executive dashboards supporting EBITDA, productivity, and growth targets.
- Provide data-driven insights for leadership.
Talent Operations & Employee Experience
- Operationalize global talent programs in partnership with HR COEs and HRBPs.
- Ensure consistent execution of performance management, engagement, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Balance speed and rigor while maintaining a strong employee experience in a high-growth environment.
Compliance, Labor Laws & Audit Readiness
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and international labor laws, employment regulations, and internal policies.
- Lead HR-related audits (internal, external, SOX where applicable) and remediation efforts.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end HR operations, including onboarding/offboarding, employee data management, and payroll partnership
- Lead HR shared services and ensure efficient, accurate, and consistent service delivery across the organization
- Oversee HR systems (HRIS, payroll, benefits platforms), including implementations, upgrades, integrations, and vendor management
- Drive process standardization, documentation, and internal controls to support audit readiness and scalability
- Establish and monitor HR operational KPIs and analytics (SLAs, cycle times, error rates, cost metrics)
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws; manage audits, reporting, and risk mitigation
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and IT on payroll accuracy, data integrity, compliance, and systems security
- Support growth initiatives including acquisitions, integrations, reorganizations, and headcount ramp-ups
- Identify and implement automation and cost-effective solutions to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
Leadership Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and develop a lean, high-performing HR Operations team
- Create clarity, accountability, and operational discipline within HR
- Act as a steady operator during periods of change, tight timelines, and competing priorities
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- HR transformation or systems implementation experience
- Experience in a PE-backed, high-growth, or transformation-focused environment
- Strong working knowledge of HRIS, analytics,
