About the role
Delta Solutions & Strategies is seeking an Information Systems Manager and Software Developer to support the ACC Operations Division at Langley AFB, VA.
What you will doing:
- Assist to design, maintain, and update the information systems architecture, hosted on the Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), to support the ACC/A3O mission while complying with ACC network security standards.
- Perform Combat Air Force (CAF) Consolidated Planning Schedule (CPS) software functionality analysis, design, and determine vulnerabilities and risk mitigation strategies. Perform necessary software modification to improve functionality and system stability and reliability using best practices for software engineering.
- Develop and maintain database to include tables, relationships, constraints, procedures, views, queries, and reports.
- Perform installation and maintenance and operation of Sonology, an external Network Attached Storage (NSA) box and its associated web interface.
- Perform installation, operation, and maintenance of VMware vSphere 7.0 and higher.
- Perform patch updates to support and maintain effective network service operations, updates, and security settings to ensure compliance with required security standards. This includes performing Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) scans and apply Security Technical implementation Guide (STIG) guidelines to ensure the system is compliant with cyber security requirement to run on DoD SIPRNet network.
- Assist with administration of SQL Server 2016 or higher and its associated database system for the CAF CPS. Includes installing SQL Management Studio and all client tools, implement audit functionality to track data changes, and setup maintenance plans for database backups.
- Assist with the development, applying changes and permission management, granting user access, and loading documents of SharePoint collection sites. Provide software development and maintenance for the CAF SIPT web site to include management of web server (Information Services (IIS) server) 8.5 or higher.
- Advise on software solutions for internal and external user interfaces with computer systems.
- Perform CPS software functionality analysis, design, and determine vulnerabilities and risk mitigation strategies. Perform necessary software modification to improve functionality and system stability and reliability using best practices for software engineering.
- Install selected CPS software, conduct troubleshooting and error correction for system upgrades in coordination with the scheduling team, and maintain a tracking system for change requests.
- Interface with software vendors to identify, review, and propose for purchase software solutions for CPS upgrades and user interfaces for virtual and non-virtual systems.
- Provide recommendations to A3O regarding computer equipment, and peripherals that best support the mission.
- Identify and prioritize CPS software functionality requirements based on current processes for execution of ACC aviation scheduling activities.
- Perform required modifications identified during functional testing, update documentation, and install on the production server where the new tool will be used daily.
- Perform configuration management and software Quality Assurance as part of a CPS maintenance plan.
- Prepare and install disaster recovery server offsite.
What you will need:
- Current IAT Level II certification IAW DoD 8570
- 2 years of experience utilizing SIPR servers on a DoD network
- 2 years of experience working with MS Windows Server 2016 and higher and MS Internet Information Services web server management tool
- 2 years of experience working with SQL Server 2008 or higher, or equivalent database server (e.g. Oracle MySQL, etc.), and experience with tools like TOAD for SQL, Visual Studio 2012, or Telerik user interface
- 2 years of experience with installation and operation of VMware Workstation PRO and VMware vSphere
- 2 years of experience working independently to design and code new web-based database applications.
- 2 years of experience developing relational databases and the ability to create and manage the SQL Server
- 2 years of experience with Configuration Management and Software Quality Assurance principles
- Secret clearance
