Sentara Enterprises - Specialty Pharmacy is looking for a full time Specialty Pharmacy Tech to join their dynamic team in Chesapeake, VA.

Shift: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm)

**This position does require some heavy lifting, packaging and shipping. Retail experience is preferred but not required.**

The Specialty Pharmacy Technician I will ensure accurate and timely data entry, product dispensing, and packing of prescription orders and will be responsible to provide exceptional customer service. The technician will work in a high volume fulfillment and/or call center environment on a multi-disciplinary team. Routine interaction with specialty pharmacy patients with complex medication needs requiring high touch care and follow-up.

Qualifications:

  • Registered with the Commonwealth of VA Board of Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician required
  • PTCB or NHA preferred

Job Summary

The Specialty Pharmacy Technician I will ensure accurate and timely data entry, product dispensing, and packing of prescription orders and will be responsible to provide exceptional customer service. Third party online adjudication experience and outpatient pharmacy or long term care pharmacy experience preferred.

Registered with the Commonwealth of Virginia Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician required

Qualifications:

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Certifications - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)
