Senior Software Developer

As a Senior Developer at Exiger, you will be responsible for designing and developing software projects from a technical implementation perspective that satisfy the project’s requirements, and result in implementing features and improvements in our flagship software platform.  Your stellar back-end experience will also assist in supporting the software, troubleshooting, and fixing any production issues.  You will work within a team that will help you come up to speed with the design and architecture of the platform and will give you input in requirements gathering.

Key indicators of success in this role will be coming up to speed quickly on our platform and related technologies and designing and implementing projects successfully in all aspects - from UI to back-end code to the database.  Your goal is to become more independent as you do so, helping develop requirements, writing quality code that operates correctly, and contributing to the core platform.

Responsibilities Include

• Design and implement new projects from the technical side, that also build on our existing Java web-based SaaS application in significant new ways, and ability to do so independently (with overall architectural guidance)
• Manage your work and keep your projects on track from an implementation perspective
• Contribute to all aspects of the development lifecycle: requirements collection, system analysis, architecture, design, development, testing and documentation
• Work cooperatively with the Business and IT team at Exiger
• Depending on interest, work towards full technical leadership of projects/teams

Minimum Qualifications

Professional Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack Web Application Development. 
• Strong proficiency in the following technologies: MVC, jQuery, SQL, Hibernate, Spring and OO principles, design patterns and RDBMS.
• Strong Java, server-side development experience (‘back end’), web application development
• Experience building multi-tiered systems with Web-facing aspects.
