We are seeking enthusiastic interns for the Shiseido Hajimari Summer Internship program, a paid, full-time, 9-week experience from June 2nd to August 1st. Based in our New Jersey and New York offices, this program offers hands-on exposure to the full product life cycle, from Marketing to Manufacturing, along with impactful projects, networking opportunities, and professional development workshops. About our  Team:

This internship will be working in Sustainability a department within Supply Chain Operations at Shiseido Americas. The Sustainability team is working to transition existing products into sustainable packaging while supporting new innovations and launches to be developed in compliance with sustainability guidelines and packaging regulations. Sustainability supports all the Shiseido Americas functions such as Marketing, packaging, S&OP, manufacturing, etc. across all US brands (i.e. NARS, Drunk Elephant, and Doctor Dennis Gross).

What You’ll Do:

The intern will be working on an assessment of how new packaging regulations, like CA SB343 (removal of chasing arrows), PPWR and others, can impact our packaging. Intern will assist in reviewing in detail the requirements of the regulations and will work with cross functional partners (Packaging, Procurement, S&OP and Packaging Suppliers) to collect relevant data around the potential impacts. Intern will work with the Sustainability Director to prepare a risk assessment report to be shared with key stakeholders highlighting the potential impacts and recommended mitigation plan.

 

Requirements:

  • Must be able to commute to designated workplace and work the required weekly schedule associated with department. 
  • Must be actively enrolled in matriculating college degree program in science, engineering, packaging or supply chain.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Advanced Excel Skill, including V-Look up and other data collection & analysis functions.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, results oriented.
  • Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, work environment.
