A Research Technician position is available in Chu lab in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology, Georgetown University. The research technician will be working in a highly dynamic lab environment and provide general support for the ongoing research activities in the lab. The position is expected to:
Perform mouse behavior assessment and stereotaxic surgery.
Manage mouse colony and genotyping.
Oversee immunohistochemistry, general lab ordering, and other activities per PI’s instructions.
Work Interactions
The work performed by this position will support the sponsored research activities in the lab and the candidate will work closely with lab postdoctoral fellow, students, and other research staff. This position will directly report to Dr. Hong-Yuan Chu, associate professor of Pharmacology and Physiology at GUMC. Excellent training and mentorship will be provided.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in biology, neuroscience, physiology or a related field
Prior experience is preferred, but not required

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$17.92 - $26.80Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
