Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH!MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Combat Systems Engineer to join our team working in the Washington, D.C. Navy Yard. This is a hybrid position requiring 2-3 days a week in office.
This entry-level role supports the Spain Combat Systems Engineer (CSE) and plays a key part in advancing U.S. Navy Aegis combat system capabilities within the Spain F-100 Frigate Programs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Attend and support technical discussions regarding system integration and testing
Assist with technical deliverables review and documentation quality assurance
Coordinate and track action items, risk management activities, and schedules
Develop and maintain engineering plans and procedures
Draft and route Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) reviews for CSE-related deliverables
Support the development of monthly COR reports, invoice reviews, and CPARS planning
Collaborate with functional areas including Systems Integration & Test, Logistics, and Technical Representatives
Track contract and funding requirements with the Financial and Contracts teams
Support and help organize monthly Risk Reviews and maintain risk register inputs
Use Power Apps and Planner tools to maintain action item and task visibility
Travel up to 10% - travel will include both CONUS and OCONUS
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or Ocean Engineering
0+ years of experience in naval ship design, systems engineering, or defense acquisition
Must possess a passport or have the ability to obtain a passport
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Aegis Combat System components and Navy system lifecycle
Experience with U.S. Navy correspondence standards (NAVSEA)
Exposure to foreign military sales or international defense programs
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current or active United States Government Secret security clearance.
