POSITION SUMMARY

For more than 80 years, we’ve led the charge in revolutionizing pet food production and its ability to enrich the lives of pets everywhere. POSITION SUMMARY

 

As the Manufacturing Equipment Specialist, you will serve as subject matter expert for the construction activities, installation, start-up, and maintenance of new equipment and initiatives at the Hartwell, GA factory. You will work with a variety of cross functional groups within the factory as well as with contractors and vendors. The Manufacturing Equipment Specialist will be key in facilitating all Safety, Health, and Environmental objectives and programs while providing additional leadership support to the Contract Safety & Health Plan during major construction on site.

 

  • Coordinate routine maintenance function of plant facilities and equipment up to and beyond production start-up.
  • Act as the main contact with local contractors to arrange site access and factory visits, ensuring safe management of visitors.
  • Schedule maintenance and inspections of plants safety, utilities, building, and grounds systems to remain in compliance with company, state, and local requirements.
  • Maintain equipment inventory and parts consistent with plant needs.
  • Provides assistance to Engineering, Maintenance, Project Management, and other personnel to support plant activity. 
  • Ensure efficient utilization of available manpower and material including inspection, troubleshooting, and other job performance areas.
  • Act as subject matter expert on steam sterilization systems, high speed seamers, and other pet food manufacturing equipment.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

 

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • 10+ years’ experience in an industrial maintenance role within an industrial, manufacturing, military, or related environment. 

OR

  • Associate’s Degree in a technical or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in an industrial maintenance role within an industrial, manufacturing, military, or related environment.

 

Other

  • Experience with food manufacturing, FDA, and/or GMP requirements

The approximate pay range for this position is $74,000 to $100,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
