Duties and responsibilities:

- Perform preliminary and detailed engineering design tasks for water resources and related civil engineering projects including:
- Stormwater management and drainage infrastructure permitting and design, preferably locally.
- Stormwater hydrology and hydraulics
- Watershed assessment & planning
- Urban flood risk and floodplain management
- Flood protection and resilience
- Low impact development/green infrastructure
- Performs 1D and 2D riverine hydraulic modeling
- Performs numerical modeling in support of stormwater and drainage improvements projects
- Prepares plans, specifications, and cost estimates, in support of final bid packages
- Participates in design activities and meetings between project team members, subcontractors, and client managers
- Participates in project decisions regarding technical approaches, feasibility, cost, construction approaches, and scheduling performance
- Prepares written and graphic reports and makes presentations
- Under direction prepares various draft documents, including reports and technical memoranda

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering,
- 0-2 years of experience with stormwater, floodplain or site civil engineering
- EIT preferred
- Software
- AutoCAD, Microstation, and Matlab experience preferred
- HEC-RAS, HEC- HMS or other Modelling experience highly desired
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Availability and willingness to travel
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
