Blue Origin, LLC. is a privately owned aerospace company developing technologies that will establish an enduring human presence in space. We are in search of a Fleet Coordinator who will join our team of facility professionals. This team is chartered with planning and performing preventive and corrective maintenance, as wells as unplanned servicing of facility systems and manufacturing equipment. As part of a diverse and hardworking team of Facilities professionals, you will play a direct role in the support of our production facilities in Huntsville and testing facilities at Marshall Space Flight Center.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Inspect and evaluate fleet equipment, recommend repairs and/or replacement of existing equipment. Maintain detailed records of fleet inventories, assignments, and usage.
- Act as a liaison between enterprise fleet manager and various support vendors. Provide direct coordination and support to on-site vendors in response to requests from stakeholders or management directive.
- Support multi-site scheduling for repair and maintenance of fleet vehicles, and PIT (Powered Industrial trucks) equipment.
- Evaluate fleet purchase requests and makes recommendations.
- Acts as liaison between manufacturer for warranty/recall work and resolution of technical and safety issues.
- Analyze, develop, review work plans, and schedules to ensures completion of work in a timely manner reducing down time and keep costs minimal.
- Continuous improvement of fleet maintenance practices, procedures to ensure quality control.
- Travel- 10% is required for continued site-specific standardization and training development.
Minimum Qualifications
- This position requires relevant practical experience in fleet and equipment operations.
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and capable of planning and guiding work in a critical environment across multiple organizations.
- Strong bias for action and a proven track record for delivering results while working with a small team in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with CMMS work order systems preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills (oral and written).
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-5 years of fleet asset management experience
- Experience with Maxim
