Technical Project Manager - Contract

Are you a project manager with a passion for games? Are you a baseball fan? Would you enjoy supporting the development efforts of games used by passionate loyalists around the world? Does a career opportunity influencing the most successful gaming platform of all time interest you?
San Diego Studio is seeking a Project Manager for a cross-disciplinary team supporting the analysis of gameplay and user behavior. Here, you will aid in evolving the studio’s development processes, contribute to making our games better, and assist in management of day-to-day responsibilities in a cross-discipline development team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure deadlines are being met and projects are on-track, including removing blockers as needed
- Utilize project tracking tools to maintain a constant awareness of project status and deliverables, goals and feedback
- Identify and understand the individual tasks and determine how they fit in with larger team or studio goals
- Build strong relationships with product owners, engineering, design, UX and other studio teams for ease of collaboration
- Foster an environment of open communication and collaboration within the studio, to communicate early and often on the status of work
- Contribute to the development and refinement of the production management processes to increase studio efficiency and quality
- Drive roadmap planning and implementation for recurring support with flexibility for ad-hoc requests
- Provide analytics on project volume and efficiency across the team
Qualifications:
- Well versed in project management techniques, with strong organizational skills
- Understanding of Kanban and other Agile development methodologies
- Experience working in engineering, product/technical product management, data analysis, or product development
- Strong technical background/proficiency with the ability to communicate effectively with development teams
- Familiarity with Big Data projects and technology
- Strong analytical skills paired with a data-informed mindset
- Able to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, and Confluence
Pluses:
- Understand the rules of the sport of baseball
- Passion for video games
- Familiarity with AWS tools (such as Redshift, Glue, Sagemaker)

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.
Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
