Sr. Materials Industrialization Engineer, Fasteners

We are currently seeking a motivated Sr. Materials Industrialization Engineer with focus on Fasteners to contribute, promote and drive best-in-class product quality through the various stages of product development process. This is a high-performance role that would have significant visibility to both within and outside the organization, and will require technical expertise, passion, interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence outcomes, work through complexity and fast- paced environment, and establishing credibility with peers and senior management.
You Will:
- Strategize, coordinate, guide, and execute industrialization activities within the supply chain division.
- Establish, oversee, audit, enhance, and rectify supplier planning and execution of component fabrication and assembly methodologies and quality control processes from the preliminary development phase to mass production approval.
- Ownership and leading the Lucid Qualification Process (LQP).
- Collaborate in DFMEA, DVPR, DFQ/DFM reviews and validation.
- Participate in cross functional teams through root cause analysis, launch support and interfacing with suppliers to lead the drive on corrective actions.
- Responsible for conducting supplier audits to ensure their capability to meet expectations for part performance, delivery, and reliability.
- Collaborate with Lucid Motors’ Cross Functional Teams to ascertain the optimal performance specifications and supplier metrics.
- Responsible for leading, monitoring, and enhancing supplier manufacturing process development and launch readiness for new products and design modifications.
- Mentor suppliers in establishing exceptionally robust processes and procedures to facilitate efficient and flawless production of high-quality products.
- Verify supplier corrective actions involving design and/or process modifications to ensure they are robust, sustainable, and implemented for similar potential concerns across manufacturing lines and/or suppliers.
- Contribute ideas and best practices to successful quality gates.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5 years of industrial experience in fasteners manufacturing and or Fasteners Engineering work environment. OEM Fasteners supplier industrialization preferred.
- Solid understanding of GD&T, Fastener standards and automotive fastener requirements.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in advanced product quality planning (APQP), PPAP or technical program management for fastener commodities is desired.
- Automotive industry experience is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability and desire to work in high paced work environment is highly valued.
This is a full-time Monday-Friday onsite role at our New office in Southfield, Michigan. No Remote or Hybrid options available.
