<strong>ASSYST </strong>is seeking a qualified <strong>Senior Drupal Developer</strong> to enhance our client's public-facing digital platform in <strong>Austin, TX. </strong><br />

The Senior Drupal Developer performs senior-level computer systems analysis and plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the agency's public-facing digital platforms. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level websites and web applications that support agency programs and operations.<br />

Job Type: Contract (C2C/Corp to Corp or 1099)</strong><br />
<br />
<strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong>
<ul>
<li>Design, develop, administer, and support the agency’s Drupal website and WordPress blogs.</li>
<li>Plan and maintain web and browser-based applications that align with agency program needs.</li>
<li>Train team members on Drupal development and web administration best practices.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-agency workgroups to implement standardized web templates and applications using Drupal, WordPress, and in-house systems.</li>
<li>Maintain detailed technical, systems, and security documentation.</li>
<li>Provide training and guidance to internal staff on the usage of custom web applications.</li>
<li>Ensure timely reporting on progress, risks, incidents, and system maintenance activities.</li>
<li>Attend work regularly in alignment with agency attendance policies.</li>
<li>Adhere to all agency policies, including safety and conduct standards.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>

<strong>Required Qualifications:</strong>

<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.</li>
<li>8+ years of experience using<strong> PHP</strong> within <strong>LAMP or LEMP stacks.</strong></li>
<li>8+ years of experience developing and administering enterprise websites using <strong>CMS platforms (Drupal and WordPress).</strong></li>
<li>8+ years of experience developing with frameworks such as<strong> Laravel, Django, Symfony,</strong> etc.</li>
<li>8+ years of hands-on experience with <strong>Drupal and WordPress </strong>administration.</li>
<li>Proficient with <strong>Linux OS </strong>and <strong>command-line interface (CLI).</strong></li>
<li>Knowledge of system development methodologies and modern programming practices.</li>
<li>Ability to <strong>create secure, scalable, and responsive web applications.</strong></li>
</ul>

<strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong>

<ul>
<li>Experience using <strong>Python</strong> in LAMP/LEMP stack development.</li>
<li>Strong background with information retrieval systems (e.g., Drupal Search, Solr).</li>
<li>Proficient in managing Drupal using<strong> Drush.</strong></li>
<li>Experience building responsive, mobile-friendly websites.</li>
<li>Familiarity with <strong>AJAX</strong> and asynchronous web application techniques.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of<strong> JavaScript, Ruby,</strong> and<strong> Java.</strong></li>
<li>Awareness of common <strong>web security vulnerabilities (e.g., cross-site scripting, SQL injection).</strong></li>
<li>Experience with ticketing systems such as <strong>Remedy or KACE.</strong></li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li>
<li>Recent industry certifications in programming or web development.</li>
